The teapot that I use at work (pretty dark-green ceramic with a mesh infuser basket, holds enough for two mugs of tea, at least 8 years old) has just gotten chipped. I've been irritated by it for a while, because if I make a pot of tea and then leave the lid closed overnight, the lid tends to stick to the pot. This morning, when I tried to get the lid open, the little tab on the lid snapped off. I could glue it back together, but I think this is a sign that I need a new pot.

Any suggestions? [livejournal.com profile] twe, I've been looking at the IngenuiTEA brewer, which looks very cute, but does it hold more than one mug's worth? Can you only pour one cup at a time into your mug? Does it keep the rest warm?

I find that it pretty much exactly fills the glass mug that Adagio sells, and will overflow most normal ceramic mugs. You can pour less than the full amount, by just lifting it up before it's done draining, though any water left in there would continue to steep unless you pull the tea leaves out somehow. It probably doesn't keep tea still in the pot warm substantially better than being in the mug. (If you wanted to borrow my spare one that I keep at home for a few days to try it out, I could probably part with it. :) Would you like a $5 coupon fro Adagio?

Special teas has a similar, but larger teapot, which probably comes closer to being 2 mugs worth. (The removable mesh filter also sounds nice.)

Well, my mug should hold about 14 ounces, based on what CafePress tells me are its measurements. However, I like that my current pot makes 24 ounces and lets me then remove the filter basket so that the second cup stays warm, so maybe I'll just get a replacement (http://uptontea.com/shopcart/item.asp?from=catalog.asp&itemID=AP14&begin=0&parent=Accessories%3ETeaware%3ETeapots&category=Chatsford&sortMethod=0&categoryID=88). (not exactly what I have, but close.)
