We went to see March of the Penguins today, and it was as wonderful as everyone says. However, the fidgeting child in the row slightly ahead of mine with the blinky shoes really shouldn't have been there, for two reasons: blinky shoes have no place in a dark theater, and, two, I think the amount of fidgeting and playing with the shoes that was going on demonstrated that he wasn't really interested in the movie. For which I don't blame him--just because a movie is G-rated and full of lovely penguins and their adorable babies does not make it a children's movie. Sigh. Maybe I'll try the Somerville Theatre instead of the Capitol the next time I have to make that choice, since an 11:15 (am) show at the Somerville does not seem to mean a show that's full of children.
